Monitoring the Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Quality

Absrtact
This project has declared, audited and provided supplementary documents on, fees incurred due to air-pollution by gasoline and diesel vehicles in 2008. The total accumulated sales volumes of gasoline and diesel are 9.34 and 4.41 million kilolitres, respectively. The proportions of secondary and third-grade sold gasoline are 50% and 48%, respectively while those of diesel are 66% and 34%, respectively. The air-pollution fees for gasoline and diesel are NT 1.21 billion and 513 million dollars, respectively. 213 gasoline and 203 diesel random samples, taken from fuel storages and gas stations, were analyzed. Additionally, 30 suspected illicit fuel examinations have been conducted). In this study, which draws on chromatographic data, demonstrate that most unqualified diesel is used for fishing vessels. This year the network declaration system for gas and diesel air-pollution fees and fuel inspection record is established to facilitate reducing the opportunity of incorrect procedure and providing the timely supervision of the fuel quality. Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has been used as an instant probing system to measure the content of ethanol in alcohol gasoline and that of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in bio-diesel. This system promotes the management of the quality of bio-fuel. To provide information and to establish the long-term control standard for gasoline and diesel in vehicles, the thing that collection and analysis for relevant enactment and control system of exotic oil products is performed. A conference entitled, “Forum on Methods for Improving Gasoline and Diesel Used in Vehicles” was held and participants engaged in full discussion, helping to oil-product control policy.
